PDP Update: MOO, Mark and Money

Another link in the chain was formed last week by MOO Cards who kindly got in touch to offer support to Peace Day Pilgrim. The link was made by Kate Royston from Transition Tavistock. I would like to thank them all for getting on board.

It was also great to hear from Mark Beaumont last week who I invited to join me on part of the walk. Mark broke the cycling circumnavigation World Record by 81 days in 2008. His story was documented by the BBC in a series called 'The Man who Cycled the World'. His other BBC documentary, 'The Man who Cycled the Americas', captured the epic journey from Anchoarage, Alaska to Usuaia in Tierra del Fuego. He is hoping to come along to help raise the profile sometime during the Scotland leg. I very much look forward to meeting him.

Donations to cover the £1 per mile costs are coming in which I am grateful for. If you want to help out in this way then please click on the "donate" button at the top of the page.

More anon. Peacex
